Registration is underway for the 49th Annual Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Emergency Management & Homeland Security. The conference will be held at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton March 9-10, 2016. In addition, pre-training classes will be held March 8.

Keynote speakers include Cheryl Michaels, the Associate Director of Safety and Security at Seattle Pacific University. She will discuss lessons learned from the June 5, 2014 shooting in which one student was killed and two others injured. Other topics include Avian Bird Flu Response and Mitigation Efforts in Wisconsin, Boulder, Colorado’s Animal Emergency Rescue Following Catastrophic Flooding, Water Rescue and Recovery, and an update on Cyber Awareness.
