WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — Lessons learned from the disasters experienced in the state last year were shared with emergency officials from across Wisconsin, during the 52nd Annual Governor’s Conference on Emergency Management and Homeland Security. More than 400 representatives of the state’s emergency management, fire, law enforcement and other first responder agencies attended the event, held March 21-22 at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, WI.

MADISON, Wis. — Cybersecurity is a journey, not a destination. That was the message Monday at the 6th Annual Governor’s Cybersecurity Summit, held on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. The summit brought together more than 350 business owners, information technology professionals, and students to learn more about the current threats facing Wisconsin’s cyber landscape and what is being done to address them.
This week marks the 10th anniversary of the start of the devastating 2008 floods in southern Wisconsin. Three people were killed and thousands of homes and businesses were damaged or destroyed as flood waters impacted 31 counties for almost a month. It was the worst disaster since the Great Floods of 1993 that hit the Midwest.
