The Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Emergency Management and Homeland Security is a premier event dedicated to building a more resilient future and helping communities across Wisconsin better prepare for the unexpected.
Over the course of two days, attendees engage in a diverse range of sessions on six focus tracks. Each track is designed to provide valuable information and skills relevant to specific aspects of emergency management and homeland security.
- Interoperable Communications and Technology: Explore how different systems and devices can work together to help us communicate and coordinate more effectively.
- Private Sector: Learn about opportunities for public and private collaboration to prepare and protect our communities.
- All-Hazards Response and Recovery: Engage with fellow professionals on an array of topics to help people and communities through any emergency and bounce back quickly.
- Public Health and Community Resilience: Explore how public health is an investment to building a foundation to help a community not only survive but thrive during difficult times.
- Managing Cyber and Physical Threats: Broadens awareness and knowledge of cyber and physical threats and effective countermeasures.
- Current and Emerging Trends: Stay ahead of the curve on the latest challenges that are influencing our fields.
Join us to foster a dynamic dialogue among interdependent job fields to tackle the challenges we face in emergency management and homeland security.

Call for Abstracts
Abstract submission is closed for the 2025 Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Emergency Management and Homeland Security. The next submission period will be starting in late summer 2025.
Conference Awards
The conference honors three individuals who have made important contributions to their field.
The three award categories are for service, mentorship, and lifetime achievement. The nomination deadline for the 2025 conference is January 31, 2025.
