The Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Emergency Management and Homeland Security is a premier event dedicated to building a more resilient future and helping communities across Wisconsin better prepare for the unexpected.

Over the course of two days, attendees engage in a diverse range of sessions on six focus tracks. Each track is designed to provide valuable information and skills relevant to specific aspects of emergency management and homeland security.

  • Interoperable Communications and Technology: Explore how different systems and devices can work together to help us communicate and coordinate more effectively.
  • Critical Infrastructure and Private Sector: Learn about opportunities for public and private collaboration to prepare and protect our communities.
  • All-Hazards Response and Recovery: Engage with fellow professionals on an array of topics to help people and communities through any emergency and bounce back quickly.
  • Public Health and Community Resilience: Explore how public health is an investment to building a foundation to help a community not only survive but thrive during difficult times.
  • Managing Cyber and Physical Threats: Broadens awareness and knowledge of cyber and physical threats and effective countermeasures.
  • Current and Emerging Trends: Stay ahead of the curve on the latest challenges that are influencing our fields.

Call for Abstracts

We invite all interested speakers to submit abstracts for consideration for the upcoming 2025 Governor’s Conference on Emergency Management and Homeland Security. We encourage presentations that represent cross-disciplinary efforts that touch upon the six focus tracks. All abstract submissions are due by Friday, November 22, 2024. Conference Awards

The conference will honor three individuals who have made important contributions to their field.

Eligibility for the Service Award, Mentorship Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award is open to professionals, volunteers, and private sector partners in emergency management, homeland security, and related fields.
