MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin residents heading to bed on Halloween night should avoid playing a trick on themselves the next morning, by remembering to set their clocks back an hour before daylight saving time ends. MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today authorized 500 members of the Wisconsin National Guard to support local law enforcement in Kenosha County this evening. The governor is continuing to work with other states in facilitating additional National Guard and statepatrol support.
MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today signed Executive Order #86 declaring a state of emergency following protests in communities across Wisconsin. Executive Order #86 proclaims a state of emergency in Wisconsin, directs state agencies to continue assisting the state response, and calls to state active duty additional elements of the Wisconsin National Guard to support first responders and protect critical infrastructure and cultural institutions.
MADISON – Gov. Tony Evers today announced that residents and businesses in St. Croix affected by severe storms June 28 through July 1, 2020 can now apply for low-interest loans through the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA). These loans are also available in the contiguous counties of Barron, Dunn, Pierce, and Polk counties and Washington county in Minnesota.
MADISON —​ Gov. Tony Evers today declared a Public Health Emergency and issued an Emergency Order requiring individuals to wear face coverings when indoors and not in a private residence, with some exceptions as clarified and defined in the order. The order is effective at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020, and will expire on September 28, 2020 or by a subsequent superseding order.
MADISON —​ Gov. Tony Evers today announced additional efforts to distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) to schools, food processors, and businesses across the state. Wisconsin Emergency Management (WEM) will begin shipping more than 2 million cloth face masks and more than 4,200 infrared thermometers to K-12 public, charter, and private schools throughout the state.
