MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today declared a public health emergency in response to new cases of COVID-19, directing the Department of Health Services (DHS) to use all the resources necessary to respond to and contain the outbreak. MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today announced that a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) major disaster declaration has been granted for three Wisconsin counties. The loans provide up to $2 million to help repair or replace physical losses caused by the storms, which downed trees, damaged buildings, and left thousands without power.
