MADISON – Governor Scott Walker today declared a State of Emergency in Dane County following heavy rains and flooding that caused widespread damages to the area.
“The state is ready to assist in the recovery efforts taking place throughout Dane County after yesterday’s storms,” said Governor Walker. “I have no doubt the resiliency of Wisconsin communities will be on display during this response. I will be touring the damages from the extensive rainfall and flooding tomorrow.”
Wisconsinites are encouraged to document the damage and reach out to their insurance companies. Dane County is requesting residents call 2-1-1 to report damage.
